What GAF Master Elite means
GAF is the largest roofing maker in North America. Master Elite is their top contractor tier. Only about 2% of roofers in the country hold it.
To earn and keep Master Elite status, a contractor must meet five requirements:
- State licensing. Current and valid in California.
- Adequate insurance. Verified by GAF.
- Proven reputation. Documented standing in the local market.
- Ongoing training. Active participation in GAF's professional programs.
- Customer satisfaction. High ratings verified by GAF each year.
GAF reviews these qualifications annually. Contractors who fall short lose their status. DeHart Roofing has held Master Elite through continuous training. We are with Espindola family stewardship since 2026 of companies.
GAF warranty tiers
Master Elite status unlocks warranty tiers that standard contractors cannot offer. GAF has three main levels:
- System Plus warranty. GAF Certified contractors only. 50-year materials. 10-year workmanship backed by GAF. Entry-level enhanced coverage.
- Silver Pledge warranty. Master Elite contractors only. 50-year materials. 10-year workmanship at 100% labor cost. Backed by GAF — not the contractor.
- Golden Pledge warranty. Master Elite contractors only. Coverage stacks across three layers:
- Materials. 50 years of manufacturer coverage.
- Workmanship. 25 years of labor coverage backed by GAF.
- Tear-off. GAF pays removal costs if the roof fails during the coverage period.
Standard roofers cover materials only. If the install fails, you pay for labor. With a Golden Pledge, GAF covers repairs for 25 years. That is backed by a Fortune 500 company — not just your contractor.

Central Valley climate benefits
The Central Valley gets summer heat over 100 degrees, strong winds, and intense UV all year. GAF shingles handle it:
- LayerLock technology. Creates a mechanical bond between layers. Holds up through hot days and cool nights.
- 130 mph wind rating. Handles delta breezes and windstorms in Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties.
- Class A fire resistance. The highest rating available. Key during California wildfire season.
- StainGuard Plus. Stops black algae streaking from farm humidity and irrigation moisture.
- Advanced color technology. Resists fading under strong UV in Turlock, Modesto, and nearby areas.

- Enter "Turlock, CA" or your city
- Search for DeHart Roofing or Econo Roofing

We also show certification documents during any free inspection. Just ask.
