Accessibility Statement.
DeHart Roofing is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
Last reviewed: May 27, 2026
Our commitment
DeHart Roofing works to keep its services and website usable for people with disabilities. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA from the W3C. These rules help make web pages easier to use for people with vision, hearing, learning, or motor needs.
We also follow the ADA, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means most parts meet the standard, but some do not yet. We are working to fix what is left.
Accessibility features on this site
We have built the following accessibility features into dehartroofs.com:
- Skip-to-content link. A "Skip to content" link is the first item on every page. Keyboard users can jump past the menu.
- Semantic HTML landmarks. Pages use proper
<nav>,<main>, and<footer>tags. Screen readers can scan them with ease. - Screen-reader labels. Buttons and icons include hidden text or
aria-labeltags to explain what they do. - Accessible accordions. FAQ panels use
aria-expandedand work with a keyboard alone. - Mobile menu dialog. The mobile menu uses
role="dialog", traps focus, and closes on Escape. - Image alt text. Meaningful images have alt text. Decorative ones use
aria-hidden="true". - Color contrast. Text and buttons meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
- Keyboard navigation. Every link, button, and form field can be reached with a keyboard.
- Visible focus. Focused items show a clear outline so you can track your spot.
- Resizable text. Text can zoom up to 200% with no loss of content.
- Form labels. Each field has a label, and we mark required fields.
- Language tag. The
<html lang>tag is set so screen readers read words right. Spanish pages uselang="es".
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some parts of this site may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Embedded Google Maps. The Google Maps iframe on our contact page is provided by Google and its accessibility is governed by Google's tooling. If the map is not accessible to you, our office address is 525 N Tully Rd, Turlock, CA 95380, and we are happy to provide driving directions by phone.
- Third-party content. Some embedded content (review widgets, analytics scripts, font services) is delivered by third parties whose accessibility we do not control.
- Older blog images. A small number of archival project photos may have brief alt text. We are actively rewriting these as we audit each post.
- PDF documents. If we link to a PDF that is not screen-reader friendly, contact us and we will provide an accessible alternative.
Assessment and methods
We assess the accessibility of dehartroofs.com through:
- Manual keyboard-only walkthroughs of all major page templates
- Screen-reader testing with VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) and NVDA (Windows)
- Automated audits using Lighthouse, axe DevTools, and WAVE
- Color-contrast verification against WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds
- Ongoing review when new pages, services, or templates are published
