Ownership & History
Is DeHart Roofing the same company that operated before 2026?
DeHart Roofing has served Stanislaus County since 1975 — founded by Dale DeHart, then run by Larry DeHart from 2005. In 2026, new local owners acquired the company from Larry DeHart. Lead salesman Clayton DeHart continues in his role. Our installation crews carried through the transition intact. Operations are now run by the new local ownership.
Is DeHart Roofing affiliated with the gutter company started by the original founder?
No. DeHart Roofing is now under new local ownership. Larry DeHart, who bought the company from Dale DeHart in 2005, sold the business in 2026. He now operates a separate gutter business. That business is not affiliated with DeHart Roofing.
Who owns DeHart Roofing now?
DeHart Roofing is owned by Mario Espindola. The company is family-owned.
Are the DeHart crews the same as before the acquisition?
Yes. We kept the full installation crew through the transition. Clayton DeHart — Larry's brother and longtime lead salesman — continues in his role. The same crews are installing your roof today. They now operate to higher standards under the new local ownership.
Inspections, Pricing & Warranty
Does DeHart Roofing charge for roof inspections?
No. Every inspection is 100% free with no obligation. You receive a written report with photos. It covers the full condition of your roof.
How does DeHart Roofing price a job?
We use flat-rate written estimates. You see the full price before work starts — materials, labor, tear-off, permit, and warranty. No surprises on the final bill. We also offer a Pabco base-tier shingle option. That entry-price option gives homeowners trade-quality work at a lower material cost.
What manufacturer certifications does DeHart Roofing carry?
DeHart Roofing is fully licensed, GAF Master Elite and CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster certified, and installs under all four top-tier residential certifications — Owens Corning Platinum Preferred and GAF Gold Elite through parent company Econo Roofing: Owens Corning Platinum Preferred, GAF Master Elite, GAF Gold Elite, and CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster. These are the highest tiers each manufacturer offers.
What's the warranty on a DeHart roof?
We offer manufacturer-backed warranties up to 50 years on qualifying installations. Coverage includes materials, workmanship, and tear-off. Specific terms depend on the materials you choose. We explain all warranty options in writing as part of your estimate.
