Turlock roofs since 1975. Three generations. One name.
DeHart Roofing has been part of Turlock since 1975. Through three generations of ownership, the same name has ridden every truck and the same standards have held. This is the story of how a one-truck Turlock shop became a Stanislaus County institution.
Three generations on Central Valley roofs
Few roofing companies have lasted since 1975. Fewer still keep the same name and the same standards through it all. DeHart Roofing has.
- 1975 — Dale DeHart opens the shop. Dale DeHart hangs out his shingle in Turlock. He runs the company for three decades, building a reputation on honest pricing, premium materials, and a job site swept clean at the end of every day.
- 2005 — Larry DeHart takes the helm. Larry DeHart takes over and runs DeHart for two more decades. His brother, Clayton DeHart, works alongside him — the continuity link who still walks commercial bids and residential replacements himself today.
- 2026 — Mario Espindola carries it forward. Mario Espindola, with 30-plus years in Central Valley roofing, carries DeHart into its third generation of ownership. The crews stay intact. The standards stay the same.
What hasn't changed since 1975
The phone number that generations of Turlock homeowners learned by heart. In-house crews instead of rotating subcontractors. Flat-rate written quotes with every line item spelled out before work begins. And trucks that roll out of Turlock every morning and are home before dark — local crews, local addresses, local accountability.
What is new
Under its current ownership, DeHart holds GAF Master Elite and CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster certifications. Those certifications unlock manufacturer-backed warranties up to 50 years that most local contractors cannot register. A reputation built since 1975, now backed by those warranties.
A Turlock company, still
DeHart Roofing works from 525 N Tully Rd in Turlock and serves Stanislaus County and the surrounding Central Valley. Family-owned and locally operated — the way it has been since 1975.
